Sturgeon Festival Photo Shoot.
We will be going on an extra credit photo shoot for the Sturgeon Festival High School Photography Competition. The students are welcome to come to the Cottonwood Beach Park Saturday April 25th to get photographs for the competition. NO transportation is provided by Douglas Huegli or Camas High School for this event. Students must find their own transportation to this photo shoot. The specific location is South 32nd St. and Index St. south of Highway 14 in Washougal. We will meet at 6PM - 8:30PM apx. on the south side of the park bath rooms. We will be photography down by the Columbia River and along the Dike Access Path. The students need to meet promptly at 6PM to get camera gear before departing along the river edge. Students arriving late will need t have their own equipment. Students can leave early if they need to. Cameras, lenses, and tripods will be provided. Students should consider bringing good walking shoes, proper beach combing clothing, a chair and water. This function Is a great way for students to get to work in the field and gain extra knowledge on how to shoot nature photography.
This is a function that is not required. This is offered only as an extra credit assignment. Parents are encouraged to join us. Students will only be supervised in the areas of photography. Students that are not using good judgement and abusing this privilege will be asked to leave. If you would like to have more about the competition you can go to www.cityofvancouver.us/watercenter.
